Premier League club West Bromwich Albion have recently launched an attempt to try and lure Chelsea’s wantaway defender Emerson from Stanford Bridge this summer. The defender is reportedly no longer needed at Chelsea and this could be his perfect opportunity to opt out in search of another club.

In this present season, the Brazilian defender has not been given enough chance to play games by manager Thomas Tuchel and has reportedly sent a signal of how frustrated he is at the turn of events. Having been linked with a move to Inter Milan last summer, Chelsea disapprove of his exit from the club, so he had to stay behind.

But despite remaining at the club, the situation has still not changed, and he still occupies the third spot in the pecking order of left backs at the London club, behind summer signing Ben Chilwell and Spanish defender Marcos Alonso.

Emerson is said to be very interested in the idea of evaluating his future and concluding on whether or not he wants to continue his career in England with Chelsea or proffer a solution by seeking a move away from the club. According to reports, West Brom manager Sam Allardyce is willing to offer the attack-minded defender an escape route from Stamford Bridge and is also willing to make him the established first choice.

The defender is equally expected to welcome the offer with open arms as the allure to finally realize his desire of being a first-choice option is one that is difficult to turn down. However, the Baggies could face competition for the defender’s signature as Inter Milan may return for him again in the summer

Napoli were also thought to be interested in signing the Brazilian star, but the reports state that the Italian club have not made any significant move yet.
